HYROX is a hybrid sport combining functional strength and endurance. It is originated from Germany and has grown into a global training phenomenon.

HYROX offers an exciting and effective way to improve your overall fitness. It boosts physical strength, endurance and mental toughness. The workouts include familiar and simple movements like sled push and pull, squats, lunges, rowing, wall balls, skiing and running. All exercises are scalable to match your current fitness level, allowing you to progress at your own pace. 

Certified Coaches Supporting You

At Fit Varkaus, HYROX training is guided by internationally certified HYROX coaches. Our experienced and versatile coaches ensure you train safely, effectively and motivated. The tailor the workout to suit all fitness levels and backgrounds.

Weekly HYROX Classes

Everyone is welcome to join - no prior experience with HYROX or functional training is needed. You' ll learn everything in classes, and the workouts can always be scaled to your level. These sessions are not competitions - just sweaty, fun and inclusive group training! Our members range across ages and backgrounds, creating a friendly and motivating atmosphere.

The training sessions follow a clear programming cycle using block periodization. Each cycle focuses on 1-2 key attributes, while others are maintained. The training phases include:

  • Sport-spesific phase
  • Endurance phase
  • Strength phase
  • Power phase

HYROX Small Group Coaching

Our new HYROX small groups kick off again in fall 2025 - you're welcome to join! Small group coaching is not required for weekly classes, but it offers a deeper, more personalizes dive into the sport, tailored to your goals and pace. 

HYROX P'F"T - Official Fitness Test

Fit Varkaus is hosting an official HYROX P'F"T Testing Day on Saturday August 9, 2025!

The P'F"T is a standardized fitness test created for all HYROX athletes. It helps track your currect fitness level, works as a benchmark for progress, and assists in choosing the right HYROX race division. Book your place now!
